Tara Kachroo is a movement educator who has been teaching yoga full time since 2007. She combines precise language and anatomical knowledge with a keen eye for alignment, offering individual attention and hands-on assists to encouraging each student to deeper levels of self-knowledge and self-care. Her commitment to continuing education is a gift to her students. She is informed by the work of Katy Bowman, Kelly Starrett, Pema Chodron, and Thich Nhat Han and has studied with Jill Miller, and Rod Stryker among others. As she continues to discover and develop new tools and techniques to erase pain and increase functionality she brings that information and those techniques into her classes and workshops. She hopes that her teaching will inspire others to find the ease at the center of effort, and to anchor aspiration in awareness — not only on the mat but also in all of the difficult situations that arise in life.
Tara is Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 500. She has a Masters degree in philosophy, is a Thai Massage Therapist and a certified Yoga Tune Up® Instructor. She has taught across Canada, from Halifax to Victoria, and spent several months teaching in Trinidad. She lives in Kitchener with her husband and son.
