I discovered Moksha Yoga in 2005 after making the move to London from my hometown of Whitby Ontario. I had moved away from friends and family and was in search of a community to call my own. From the minute I walked into the Moksha studio in London I was immediately welcomed by the amazing teachers and Energy Exchangers and I new that this was somewhere I wanted to be. After my first class I was totally hooked and I couldn’t stay away.
I completed my training in Kerala, India in 2008 and have been teaching ever since. I have also dabbled in other forms of yoga, completing several workshops and trainings in Power Flow, Yin, kids yoga, and I completed my pre/post natal training with the amazing Janice Clarfield.
My first love is for theatre. I trained at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts and spent some time pursuing musical theater as a career before moving to London to start a family. After leaving the theatre world there was something missing in life and discovering yoga and all that the practice and philosophies have to offer have filled that void. I spent 5 years working as a store manager for Lululemon Athletica before I had my daughter Stella and son Max.
My husband, children, and I moved to Stratford in September 2013 as we have chosen this beautiful town as the place to put down roots and raise our family. This town is a really special place for us. It has been a dream for a long time to build a Moksha studio here, and I am so grateful to finally realize that dream and be a part of this incredible community, which brings together both my passion for theatre and the arts as well as my passion for yoga and wellness. My love for Moksha lies not only in the physical practice or in the series, it’s the 7 Pillars of Moksha and the core values that made me choose this work. For me, it’s all about building community and bringing people together. At Moksha, yoga is accessible to everyone and together we can build something great! I have already met so many amazing people and I’m looking forward to building life long friendships along the way! Thanks for the warm welcome so far Stratford, here’s to the journey that lies ahead!
